Been using it a year, cashback drips in bitcoin, accumulates slowly and I barely notice. Apple Pay hooked up instantly no hassle. Overall fine, no wow factor but doesn’t annoy either
Pay with the card every day, never let me down, cash back actually credits not just as a promise but in fact. Decent support when I reached out once too, helped quickly
Wrote in chat, bot answers with templates, impossible to wait for a live person. Problem still not resolved after a week
Got coinbase one thinking it’d pay off quick, in reality the cashback boost is so tiny I didn’t even notice the difference. 30 bucks a month down the drain
Use the card while traveling, Visa accepted everywhere, never had a payment issue. There’s an ATM fee but that’s everywhere anyway
Transaction got declined at the store right at checkout, was mortifying. App shows balance but card doesn’t work for some reason. No explanation
Honestly thought setup would be complicated, turned out to be literally 10 minutes and done. Linked USDC so I don’t pay their conversion fee, works great
Account has been on “review” for 3 weeks now, card doesn’t work at all, support responds once a week with the same copy-paste. It’s my money and I can’t touch it, infuriating
Blocked access because of some “suspicious activity”, though I just bought coffee and got gas that day. No specifics from support on why
Read reviews praising this card, in practice ran into the same thing everyone complains about – support silent, money hanging, no responses
Got the coinbase one subscription for the cashback boost, paid for itself in 2 months by pure math. Recommend to those who spend a lot
Promised bitcoin cashback for the month never got credited, wrote to support – said “looking into it” 2 weeks passed silence
Wrote 4 emails in 2 weeks about a card issue, complete silence. For a banking product that’s just embarrassing honestly
After the last update it keeps freezing, balance loads for minutes. Reinstalled twice, didn’t help
Got it just to have cashback drip in crypto for daily spending, checked balance after half a year and was pleasantly surprised how much piled up from utilities and groceries) recommend if you’re already on coinbase
Fee actually ends up pricier than a regular bank card if you don’t pay in USDC. Nobody states this clearly until you run into it
Was sure this would be convenient and modern, in reality constant freezes here and there. Writing to support second time this month
Nobody warned that non-USDC conversion costs 2.49%, only found out when checking statement at month end. How is this even allowed
Wanted to pay rent with a large amount – limit turned out too low, card doesn’t work for large spending at all
Coinbase Card is a debit card from the regulated US exchange, linked directly to your account. Issued on Visa, it lets you pay either from a USD balance or with crypto held on the exchange.
Coinbase offers a flexible rewards programme: you pick the crypto your cashback is paid in, and it can reach 4% depending on the terms. There is no fee on the transaction itself, but the market conversion rate applies, and in the US converting crypto to fiat can have tax consequences.
It is a debit Visa linked to your balance in the service. At checkout the crypto is converted into fiat and the transaction is routed through the Visa network, so the card works anywhere that payment system is accepted.
The stated coverage is United States (some states may have restrictions). The exact country list and local restrictions are set by the issuer, so check the terms for your country of residence before applying.
Yes, in most cases you need to register and pass KYC with an ID document. Some issuers also ask you to confirm a residential address in a supported region.
The baseline terms are: 0% on card payments; conversion at the market rate; daily spending limit of $2500. On top of that, factor in the conversion rate, ATM fees and any charges from the payment partner — the issuer always publishes the current pricing.
In most cases yes: the card can be added to a mobile wallet for contactless payments. Availability depends on your country and the payment partner's rules.
