Love the direction, wish setup had fewer unfamiliar concepts.
Hold a decent chunk of GNO and the cashback tiers are worth it. I keep custody the whole time which no custodial card can offer. Worth the tradeoffs for me
Pay 30 euro upfront then your rewards depend on holding a token that swings wildly. If GNO drops your 'rewards' are underwater. Do the math first
Was the gold standard for self custody Visa but ether.fi and others have better coverage and rewards now. The lead is gone. Feels stagnant
I like keeping spending separate from speculative assets. A system that makes the wallet boundaries obvious is much more useful to me than a huge list of token perks.
Relies on an e-money partner rather than its own strong license. In 2026 that regulatory ambiguity makes me nervous keeping real money flowing through it
This is the rare card that genuinely means it, my funds stay in my own Safe wallet until I tap to pay. For a DeFi native like me that's the whole point. Love it
Sometimes fast sometimes weeks, no predictability. For a payment card you need reliable help and this isn't it. The tech deserves better ops
Had an issue and waited weeks for a response. The tech is brilliant but the customer support is the weakest link by far. Trustpilot 2.2 says it all
The good rates run on an interim program funded by Gnosis Ltd with an end date. After that who knows. Building habits on temporary rewards feels shaky
A lot of crypto people say they want control over their money, and I get it. But there's a practical tension here: I want to approve how funds move and still be able to tap the card without thinking about it. In this sample journey I would have spent the first evening making sure the wallet setup and spending boundaries were right, then deliberately tried not to touch the configuration for the next week. If everyday payments still required on-chain mental gymnastics, I'd go back to a plain debit card.
Living in the EU the zero FX on euro transactions is great and the on chain transparency means I can verify everything. Niche but excellent for what it is
There was a Fractal ID breach and combined with fully public on chain history it's a privacy paradox for a card sold on sovereignty. Not great optics
Every transaction verifiable on Gnosis Chain, no black box. As someone who doesn't trust CeFi with my keys this is the answer. Been solid for months
Little thing but having my ENS on the card and the Safe smart account setup feels genuinely web3. Apple Pay works too. Solid for crypto purists
To unlock the 4% tier you need to hold a fortune in volatile GNO. For normal spenders the effective cashback is tiny. The token dependency is a real risk
The cashback caps how much you can spend at each rate weekly, resets Sunday, no rollover. So the headline rate only applies to a small slice. Restrictive
The Safe smart account stuff is powerful but confusing if you're not already deep in DeFi. My friend gave up during setup. Not beginner friendly
Geographic coverage is limited and they've said direct consumer expansion is off the roadmap. If you're outside their list you're stuck. Shrinking reach
Beyond the headline some reviewers mention an added transaction fee so the real cost varies. Not as clean as advertised. Read carefully
A strong option to investigate if self-custody is high on your list. I'd still check country coverage and the actual cardholder terms.
This has the sort of on-chain control that makes sense to a wallet enthusiast. The challenge is making that control feel natural when buying a train ticket.
